Position Summary
The Internet Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the dealership’s online sales strategy, increasing retail market share, and ensuring a seamless digital-to-showroom customer experience. This role requires a forward-thinking leader with a deep understanding of digital retailing, lead generation, CRM processes, and e-commerce best practices in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Digital Retail Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive internet sales strategy to attract and convert online leads into retail vehicle sales.
- Manage online inventory listings across dealership websites, third-party platforms, and social media.
- Work closely with the marketing team to create compelling digital campaigns, promotions, and advertising strategies.
- Optimize the dealership’s digital retailing tools to enhance the online car-buying experience.
Lead Management & Customer Engagement
- Oversee and refine the lead response process to ensure quick and effective communication with potential buyers.
- Monitor and analyze CRM data to track online lead performance and conversion rates.
- Train and coach sales staff on best practices for handling internet leads and digital sales.
- Enhance customer experience by integrating online and in-store sales processes seamlessly.
Operational & Performance Management
- Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure smooth online-to-showroom transactions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with online vendors and digital advertising partners.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in automotive digital retailing.
Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in automotive internet sales management, e-commerce, or digital retailing.
- Strong knowledge of CRM tools, lead management systems, and digital marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions based on performance metrics.
- Familiarity with Ford's retail and commercial vehicle lineup is a plus.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Some F&I Experience would be preferred but not required.
