REPORTS TO : Middle School Principal
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
Understand or be willing to learn Project-Based and Expeditionary Learning
- Communicate and collaborate confidently and creatively
- Carry out all duties associated with teaching classes and other duties on a teacher's schedule
- Maintain respectful and cooperative interactions with students, parents, teachers, co-workers, and administrators
Be a reflective educator who models intellectual curiosity
Provide an innovative and creative commitment to education
Create a classroom environment of respect and maintain a classroom environment where the social and emotional welfare of the students are protected to the best of a teacher's abilitiesCreate a classroom environment that allows a student's confidence to grow, where students are inspired to think creatively and take risksCreate a classroom environment where high academic expectations are the normCreate well-organized, meaningful, and creative lesson plans that thoughtfully incorporate teaching strategies to further and maximize student learningAbility to integrate technology into education / curriculum regularly to enhance student learning

A positive role model for students, taking into account the teacher's influence on each student's personal growth, academic ability, passion, and emotional stabilityAttend meetings, including but not limited to weekly staff meetings after schoolActively participate in the school's culture and participate in school activities and functions outside of the classroom

Qualifications :
