Description
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Nurse Practitioner to join our team in providing exceptional care for veterans through Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and compensation and pension (C&P) exams. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping veterans receive the benefits they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough in-person medical evaluations for veterans using VA-approved questionnaires.
- Assess and document medical histories, physical exams, and diagnostic results accurately.
- Collaborate with veterans to ensure a clear understanding of their health concerns and functional limitations.
- Maintain compliance with VA standards, guidelines, and timelines for exam completion.
- Submit timely and detailed reports documenting findings and supporting evidence.
This role is dedicated exclusively to conducting Disability Assessments for Veterans. It does not involve treatment or prescribing medication.
In this position, you will typically complete Disability Assessments for an average of 3-5 Veterans per day.
Practice independently, manage your own schedule, and enjoy full autonomy in your own office and workspace.
Qualifications:
Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.
Must have your own malpractice insurance.
Proficient in performing comprehensive medical evaluations and documenting findings.
Strong interpersonal skills and sensitivity when working with veterans.
Familiarity with VA DBQs and compensation and pension exam processes is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
