Job Description

The Tumor Registrar is responsible for complete and accurate abstracting of the medical records of all patients seen at Winchester Medical Center with the diagnosis of a malignancy. This includes inpatients and outpatients treated in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology and WMC’s ambulatory unit. Winchester Surgi-Center. The registrar is responsible for follow up of all patients in the Registry, attending all cancer related conferences, and compiling and distributing cancer related reports, and other duties as assigned.

Education

AS degree/BS preferred

Experience

Two years medical records experience preferred.

Certification & Licensures

Tumor Registry Certification (CTR) required

Qualifications

Medical Terminology required.
