RN or LPN Family Practice - Per Diem

We are looking for a Per Diem Registered Nurse or Licensed Public Nurse to work at our Amherst Medical Center!

Position: Registered Nurse or Licensed Public Nurse

Location: Amherst, MA

Hours: This is a per diem position, generally between 8:00 am and 6:00 PM. Hours may vary depending on department needs. Exact schedule to be discussed at time of interview.

As an LPN or RN, you will be responsible for providing nursing care to patients and families using clinical skills and procedures within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act. LPN/RNs work in a collaborative environment in a team setting and support the needs of the organization by filling in where necessary.

RN Job Responsibilities:

• Manage portal messages, phone calls, and patient cases.
• Follow nursing triage guidelines.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and IV fluids.
• Offer support and educational direction to LPNs and MAs as needed

RN Required Qualifications:

• AS in Nursing
• Current Massachusetts RN License
• Current CPR certification

LPN Job Responsibilities:

• Manage portal messages, phone calls, and patient cases.
• Follow nursing triage guidelines.
• Prepare patients for the office visit, including administering vaccines.

LPN Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (Associates or Bachelors)
• Current Massachusetts LPN License
• Current CPR certification

Additional Preferred Qualifications for both positions:

• Experience in a Family Practice/ triage setting preferred
• Athena experience a plus
