About Us:
Valley Spring Recovery Center is a dedicated outpatient treatment facility providing compassionate, evidence-based care for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Our mission is to support long-term recovery through a multidisciplinary approach that addresses the physical, emotional, and psychological needs of our clients. We are currently seeking an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our clinical team and provide high-quality medical and psychiatric support within our outpatient program.
Position Overview:
The APRN will work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other clinical staff to assess, diagnose, and manage the care of clients dealing with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role is crucial in ensuring clients receive comprehensive and integrated care as they progress through treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive medical and psychiatric evaluations for new and existing clients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical team
- Prescribe and manage medications, including MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment) when appropriate
- Monitor client progress, response to treatment, and adjust care plans as needed
- Provide education to clients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, and medications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted APRN license in the state of [Insert State]
- Board certified as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) with relevant behavioral health experience
- X-Waiver or eligibility to prescribe buprenorphine strongly preferred
- Experience working in addiction medicine or mental health settings
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of substance use disorders, MAT, and co-occurring conditions
