What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRN Medical Social Worker position at Valley View Hospital Association?
We're looking for an as needed (PRN) Medical Social Worker to join our Valley View Team!
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Assists Valley View inpatients and outpatients and their families in the overall management of their plan of care across the continuum.
- Provides psychosocial assessment and intervention for patients experiencing distress employs individual consultation, family and group methods.
- Practices within the guidelines of professional social work ethics and standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Master’s degree in social work from an accredited Council of Social Work Education program.
- Licensed in Colorado with Licensed Clinical Social worker credentials.
- BLS through the American Heart Association with card in-hand before start date.
Skills:
- Counseling, consultations to physicians and hospital staff, medical social work skills, mental health assessments.
- Knowledge of community resources.

SALARY RANGE:
- $29.05 to $42.73/hour 14% PRN Differential Pay.
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
