Valley View is seeking an experienced Tumor Registrar to work for our Clinical Research Department. This role will assist in maintaining the cancer registry in accordance with the current American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC) Cancer Program Standards and participating in the cancer committee and related activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- CTR Certification
- Associate degree or higher
- Preferred: RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) certification, HIMA (American Health Information Management Association certification, or Accreditation eligible RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician)
- Ability to analyze and report data to medical and administrative professionals
- Ability to communicate with written and verbal proficiency
- Ability to develop peer relationships that achieve common oncology-related goals
- Displays good judgment, self-motivation, initiative, and organizational skills with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and use of reference texts
- Proven ability to prioritize and complete or assign work as needed to meet deadlines and expectations
