The Heart and Vascular Center is seeking YOU 😊, a Fulltime, Patient Services Specialist with excellent customer service skills. Join a friendly and positive team, dedicated to providing excellent care for the heart and vascular needs of our patients. Previous customer service experience in a medical setting is required. Bilingual (Spanish and English) are preferred but not required. Our schedule is: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, no weekends, no nightshifts, no holiday shifts.
GENERAL OBJECTIVES:
- Provides patients and physicians with professional and friendly reception duties.
- Organizes patient flow, checking patients in and out, keeping physicians and patients on schedule.
- Maintains patient appointments, demographics, and insurance in an accurate manner.
- Triages phone calls for the clinical staff, techs, and providers appropriately.
- Performs some medical record retrieval and medical record organization
- Schedules off of E-faxed orders, faxed orders, email, and text messaging
- Ability to multitask and maintain a professional and positive demeanor
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Skills:
- Clerical: typing filing, scheduling, computer, phone and people skills
- Excellent customer service; strong computer skills; outstanding communication; multitasking skills are required.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Patient care background and/or medical scheduling experience required.
