What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rehab Patient Access Professional position at Valley View?
We're looking for a Patient Access Professional for our Rehab department!
As the Rehab Patient Access Professional, you will:
- 1. Verifies insurance and benefits for Rehab patients
- 2. Acquires Insurance Authorization for Rehab patients when needed
- 3. Communicates with Rehab staff patient's benefits and authorization request status
- 4. Communicates directly with patients in regard to their therapy benefits.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One to two years of customer service experience required.
Experience:
- Previous experience in insurance verification, patient registration, collections or billing required.
Other Skills:
- Previous experience in insurance verification, patient registration, collections or billing required.
- Courtesy, patience, and tact when dealing with the public; Exceptional customer service skills required.
- Bilingual highly preferred (English/Spanish).
- Ability to work under variable conditions.
- Well-organized, dependable and flexible; Strong computer and typing skills.
- Must be a team player.

SALARY RANGE
- $$20.00 to $28.87/hour
- Entry salary dependent upon education, skill set, and experience.
