Kitchen Assistant - assisted living facility

We have a part-time, 18-23 hour per week, kitchen assistant position. This position works two-three 5-hour shifts (2 PM - 7 PM) during the week, and two 8-hour shifts (11 AM-7 PM) every other weekend.

Responsibilities and Duties

Assist in food preparation and service in accordance with residents’ dietary needs and the facility menu. Assist in proper receiving, storage, preparation, serving, sanitation and cleaning procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

- Must be able to interact with residents in a courteous, respectful and friendly manner

- Able to organize and utilize time appropriately to accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision

- At least 1 year of food service experience preferred (but we will train the right person!)

- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Must have reliable transportation

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 23 per week
