Cannabis Dispensary Security Guard

Job Description

New, independent-owned, cannabis dispensary in Central NJ is seeking a Security Guard to join our Team!

The employee must have the ability to work independently while always maintaining confidentiality and a professional demeanor. This is a customer facing position, excellent customer service skills are essential.

The Security Guard maintains a presence at or near the entrance of the facility and parking lot for long periods of time. Experience in monitoring and using video surveillance equipment is a plus. The position requires proficiency in all dispensaries security SOPs such as building evacuation measures, use of alarms and codes, and all things related to the safe operation of the building.

Flexible Schedule Required

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Consistently exercising good judgement

· Assist in greeting visitors and patients and checking those individuals in.

· Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot, monitors entrances and exits

· Watch for irregular or unusual conditions and security concerns and hazards.

· Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of emergency event

· Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, trespassing or other violations.

· Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.

· Always maintain a courteous and professional manner.

There are physical requirements of walking and standing for majority of the workday. Additionally the environment is indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat during the year. Additional requirements include:

· At least 1 year of security experience

· SORA certification required

· Valid Driver’s License

· Be eligible to work in the U.S

· Must be at least 21 years old

· Basic computer skills

The ideal candidate will have the ability to interact cordially, and effectively communicate with the public and staff. They will possess a strong attention to detail, and can asses and identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
