Were looking for Support Staff team members who are passionate about patient care and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction & Front Desk Support
- Greet patients warmly and professionally, whether in person or over the phone.
- Complete patient check-in and monitor waiting area, offering assistance with basic needs and questions.
- Check patients out promptly to ensure accurate tracking of appointments.
- Confirm daily appointments and assist with scheduling follow-ups.
- Direct patients to Patient Representatives for financial assistance.
- Schedule appointments with Financial Eligibility staff as needed.
- Educate patients on the medical home model of care, provider designation, and care team structure.
- Provide support staff coverage at other clinics within the same service line as needed (medical, dental, or behavioral health).
Administrative & Operational Support
- Verify and print provider schedules throughout the day.
- Respond to internal requests from clinics, departments, and partner organizations.
- Complete inbox, email, and EHR task responses in a timely manner.
- Clear out uncollected patient medications and documents weekly.
- Verify insurance coverage and co-pays, and audit daily encounters.
- Actively participate in monthly clinic meetings.
Payment Collection & Reconciliation
- Collect payments and make bank deposits according to cashier protocols.
- Reconcile daily cash collections and maintain organized cash drawers.
- Reference and utilize the fee schedule appropriately.
- Process cash, check, and credit card payments for insurance co-pays, sliding fee, and private pay patients.
Qualification & Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- BLS certification/training will be provided upon employment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills in both personal and phone interactions.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment and provide cross-clinic support.
