We are seeking a highly skilled Pool Lifeguard Specialist to join our team at Valleyfair. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for overseeing swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding swiftly to emergencies.
About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong physical stamina, excellent swimming skills, and the ability to pass a lifeguard course taught in English. You must be able to tread water for at least 2 minutes, swim up to 200 yards, and retrieve a 10-pound brick from various pool depths.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise swimming areas and enforce safety rules to ensure a safe and fun aquatic experience for our guests.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid when necessary.
- Conduct regular safety checks and inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness of pool areas and equipment, adhering to high standards of hygiene and maintenance.
- Participate in training and certification programs to stay up-to-date with the latest lifesaving techniques and emergency procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications
