Join our team at Vallivue High School! We are seeking a dedicated and qualified School Psychologist to become part of our dynamic district team. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with educators, students, and families in a supportive environment.
Position Details
- Location: Vallivue High School (serving approximately 1,150 students with a team of 9 special education teachers).
- Team Environment: Work alongside a highly collaborative group of 11 school psychologists who primarily serve individual school buildings within the district.
- Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial evaluations (1 completed this past year) and re-evaluations (approximately 50-55 annually, including file reviews).
- Complete 5-7 Functional Behavior Assessments
- Collaborate with staff and students to support academic and emotional growth.
- Participate in the district leadership team to influence decisions on special education programs and staffing.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Master’s Degree in School Psychology or an Educational Specialist (EdS) degree.
- School Psychology interns currently enrolled in a program are also encouraged to apply.
- Certification:
- Possess or qualify for an Idaho Pupil Personnel Certificate.
- Alternatively, be eligible to apply for an Interim Pupil Personnel Certificate through the Idaho State Department of Education.
