Job Summary: Assist supervisor/manager with managing of people and tasks; coordinate the production within the department.

1st shift position

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Of The Job

• Assists supervisor/manager during normal work shift
• In charge of department(s) when supervisor/manager is away
• Make recommendations of employee warnings and reprimands to supervisor/manager
• Helps train employees, makes decisions on quality
• Helps maintain a safe and clean work environment
• This position is a working group leader (when not assisting supervisor/manager, group leader will be performing normal production job.)
• Process work orders to meet customer expectations in regards to specifications & requirements
• Coordinate with sales & engineering personnel to determine ship dates in absence of supervision
  
  

Skills Required To Perform The Duties Of The Job

• Must have knowledge of all machines/operations in department(s)
• Ability to adapt to change(s); decision making ability; good people skills; interpersonal organizational & communication
• Good leadership capability
  
  

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:

• High school diploma or GED
  
  

LIFTING/OTHER PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM THE DUTIES OF THE JOB:

• Standing/walking for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift minimum 25 lbs
  
  

Licensing Or Other Special Certifications Required

• Forklift certified preferred, but not required
