The Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and providing essential support in cost accounting for our organization. As an Accountant, your responsibilities will include the following to start with growth opportunities:

• Assisting with the day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
• Coding and processing supplier invoices
• Performing general accounting duties, cost accounting analysis, and other related tasks
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions
• Setting up new accounts, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely month-end closing of books
• Assisting in the preparation of year-end audit and tax workpapers
• Handling the preparation of sales tax and property tax returns
• Assisting with special projects as requested

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:

• Education: Associate Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
• Experience: A minimum of an internship in the accounting field is preferred
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Deadline oriented
