Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Lead to oversee daily operations in our warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, shipping and receiving processes, and inventory management. This role is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation of our distribution center while maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse staff to enhance productivity and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor the performance of warehouse operations and implement improvements as necessary.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using the warehouse management system.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA standards to promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers to optimize shipping and receiving processes.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and facilities to ensure mechanical integrity and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse management or as a warehouse supervisor is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Familiarity with inventory management practices and distribution center operations.
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes within a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
