Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff within the department to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Provide guidance on medical imaging procedures and assist in the development of protocols.
- Conduct training sessions for staff on anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and patient care best practices.
- Oversee patient care processes, ensuring that all patients receive appropriate diagnostic services.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance service delivery and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and support to promote professional development.
- Maintain accurate records related to departmental operations and patient care activities.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiography program. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Has current certification in appropriate Radiology specialty (Sonography - ARDMS).
- Five years of progressive experience in sonography, including breast ultrasound experience.
- Must have participated in inspection and accreditation specific to Sonography (ACR).
