As a Research and Development (R&D) Intern, you’ll play a key role in driving innovation and ensuring quality across our products.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Assisting with the most sought-after EV driveline fluid developments along with ICEV and HEV driveline fluids.
- Assisting with racing driveline fluid developments.
- Assisting with new test rig and test method developments.
- Performing SAE, ASTM and CEC testing for driveline products.
- Coordinating with the driveline group to manage workflow.
- Analyzing lubricant samples via rheology, tribological testing, analytical testing, and other techniques.
- Assisting with R&D projects – blending, testing, evaluation of raw materials.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program.
- Pursuing a degree in science-related fields such as Mechanical, Chemical engineering, or a similar discipline.
- Flexible work schedule is preferred 20-40 hr/wk. (Spring, Summer, and Fall availablity)
- Strong analytical skills and technical aptitude.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Tribology, machine design, commercial CAD software, Microsoft Office and lab experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
