How You’ll Make an Impact
We are seeking an IT Project Manager with 5 years of experience in managing IT projects. The ideal candidate will have experience leading projects from different IT functions such as infrastructure, applications, security, and analytics. This role requires an adaptable, strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and the ability to drive projects to completion within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Under limited supervision, scopes, plans, and manages projects on time within budget and within scope ensuring alignment with project and organizational goals and strategies. Responsibilities include defining and analyzing requirements; developing/maintaining comprehensive project plans and documentation; managing project budget, scope, objectives, timelines, resource allocation, risk and quality management, and leading post project evaluation sessions.Acts as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, clients, vendors, and external partners. Facilitates regular project meetings, status updates, and communication to ensure all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project objectives. Develop contingency plans and implement proactive measures to address potential project challenges.
Manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are met. Allocate and optimize resources, including personnel, equipment, and technology, to ensure project efficiency and effectiveness.
Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with industry best practices and regulatory requirements. Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and change logs. Provide regular reports to senior management on project status, performance metrics, and key milestones.
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline Global Operations from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You’ll Need
The ability to travel up to 10%
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience Required:
5 years of experience in IT Project Management
PMP, CSM or similar certifications desired.
What Will Set You Apart
Experienced with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project methodologies. Skilled in fostering collaboration, ensuring transparency, and driving continuous improvement to enhance team productivity and project outcomes.
Proven experience in managing medium to large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of information systems and core IT components such as infrastructure, hardware/software, network, data, security, and analytics.
Business partnership and cross-functional project execution experience.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proficiency with project management tools and software such as Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Smartsheet, and Service Now.
Experience in a similar industry or sector preferred.
