About the Role
As the Accounting Manager , you will play a key role in overseeing the financial and accounting functions of our manufacturing operations. You will ensure compliance with financial regulations, maintain accurate financial reporting, and drive cost management strategies. Your leadership will help enhance financial decision-making and contribute to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable / receivable, and payroll processing.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts to support business operations.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and regulatory standards.
Manage cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation and variance analysis.
Collaborate with production and operations teams to drive financial efficiency and cost control.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional development.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations.
What We're Looking For
Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
Experience : At least 5 years of accounting experience, with 2 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
Skills : Strong analytical abilities, leadership skills, proficiency in accounting software / ERP systems (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, etc.), and excellent communication.
Preferred Qualifications : Master's degree, experience in financial planning and tax compliance, and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Experience with Epicor ERP.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Office-based role with occasional visits to the production floor.
Fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
Ability to sit for extended periods and lift files up to 10 lbs.
