What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machinist Level II Operator position at Van Becelaere Machine Works?
Position Overview:
The main focus of a CNC Machinist Level II; to perform basic set-up and operations of CNC Machines for the efficient production of quality components. Additionally, a CNC Machinist Level II may mentor lower level CNC Machinists.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Able to perform basic set-up functions, maintain tooling and perform offsets to maintain part quality.
- Suggest and assist in the implementation of process improvement ideas.
- Provide accurate production reports.
- Demonstrate ability to follow Safety rules.
- Conduct self in professional manner.
- Monitor fluid levels of machine, and report any maintenance needed to Department Lead.
- Demonstrate ability to read blue prints and inspect parts with specified measuring devices.
- Complete job order documentation in accordance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Load/unload parts in provided work holding method per setup.
- Must be able to repeatedly load and unload work pieces up to 50 lbs. each
- Deburr parts as required.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Maintain clean work area.

Qualifications/Education:

- GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
- 1 year related experience preferred
