Van Cleef Engineering is currently seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our office in Hillsborough, NJ as a Human Resources Generalist. You will work directly with our HR Director and collaborate on all functional areas of HR including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Benefits, Compliance and Administration. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Assisting with talent acquisition utilizing an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and online platforms such as Handshake
- Leading the new-hire process including sending offer letters, conducting pre-employment screenings, and coordinating onboarding and new-hire orientations
- Handling Benefits administration, including onboarding, offboarding, life changes, LOA, COBRA, open enrollment period
- Responding quickly and efficiently to employee requests and resource needs, such as queries regarding HR procedure, policy, benefits programs - internal customer service is paramount
- Partnering with HR Director to manage employee benefit plans, set up new hires, vendor management and employee communications
- Managing leave of absence in accordance with local legislation
- Understand the business environment and translate its effect on HR for local, regional and corporate feedback
- Partnering with HR and Operations functions and internal resources to execute corporate wide initiatives and client specific programs
- Maintaining the company HRIS system completely and accurately and leading EEO database management and reporting
- Providing HR Compliance support and conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with Federal, State and local employment laws
- Ensuring Form I-9 compliance and maintaining proper recordkeeping
- Providing insight and support to employee engagement programs
- Maintaining personal and confidential information and matters regarding personnel records, medical information, employee relations and organizational changes
- Working closely with payroll to ensure issue-free pay processing
- Assisting the H.R. Director with daily assignments, special projects and new initiatives
- Acting as back up to payroll, when necessary

Annual salary range : $65 to $85k, commensurate with experience.
