Job Details
This position will be responsible for procuring supplies and equipment for the organization. Also, will be responsible for inventory management for multiple locations throughout the organization. Finally, this position will perform all duties relating to supply chain practices in the organization.
DEFINITION OF POSITION:
The Inventory Control Specialist will:
- Procure equipment and supplies per organization’s policy.
- Research GPO contract equipment and supplies and correct pricing levels.
- Manage backorders by communicating delays and seek alternative options.
- Replenishment of supplies to different departments throughout the organization.
- Monitor supplies for expiration date.
- Ship outgoing packages on behalf of the organization.
- Handle all incoming freight.
- Receiving freight into ERP system.
- Perform cycle counts in Materials Management storeroom.
- Handle invoice matching process.
- Assist with Courier Service to offsite clinics.
- All other work assignments assigned by manager.
Hours are 7:00am - 3:30pm
This position requires successful completion of a Physical Capacity Profile screening.
Requirements
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to read, speak and understand English
- Ability to utilize standard office equipment “computer, multifunctional device, laminator, etc”
- Associate of Arts “A.A” degree in supply chain field preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning “ERP” helpful
- Knowledge of medical supplies helpful
- Must have valid driver’s license in state of Iowa
- This position requires successful completion of a Physical Capacity Profile screening.
