Posted Position: We are seeking a highly skilled PLC Programmer / Controls Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLC-based control systems to ensure efficient operation of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with automation, electrical troubleshooting, and industrial control systems.
Requirements:
- Experience creating machine controls using Rockwell Studio 5000/Factorytalk view ME
- Ability to read and interpret schematic drawings
- Troubleshooting skills utilizing electrical test equipment, meters, and programming software
- Understanding of Ethernet and Devicenet Networks
Responsibilities:
- Develop, program, test, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems for industrial automation.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals to ensure proper system functionality.
- Modify and optimize existing PLC programs to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on control systems and industrial automation equipment.
- Assist in commissioning, start-up, and support of new equipment installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices.
- Document changes, updates, and issues in technical reports and system documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to implement process improvements and upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in PLC Platforms
- Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, sensors, VFDs, and servo systems.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing industrial automation equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
