POSITION
Van Wyckis seeking a passionate and skilled Project Manager to produce large-scale events for our private clients. As a Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of event design, managing all aspect of events and special projects, from conception to execution. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a hospitality-driven team that delivers unforgettable experiences to clients worldwide.

Responsibilities
- Building and managing the most important asset of our firm: our relationships with our clients, from inception and creative process through ongoing project management and execution
- Managing all aspects of events and special projects, including comprehensive event concepts, design and creative concepts, logistics, and coordination of all event elements
- Preparing all client-facing documents, such as concept memoranda, event estimates, sample presentations, floor plans, and timelines
- Overseeing the overall event budget, tracking expenses, and reconciling the budget post-event
- Handling new client inquiries and collaborating with company leadership

Required Qualifications/Skills
Candidates must possess the following qualities:
- 3 years of project management experience in events
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills
- Proven passion for event production with a creative eye
- Exceptional client service skills with experience managing clients
- Curiosity, initiative, and ownership of projects and relationships
- Positive, solutions-oriented mindset with a “do-er” attitude
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills for managing large-scale projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and highly ethical
- Professional and polished demeanor with a commitment to discretion
- Willingness to learn and uphold impeccable taste and etiquette
- Flexibility to work long hours and travel as needed
- Previous experience working for an event production company or in an alternative, related field
- Demonstrated ability to autonomously lead events
- Previous experience in hospitality, event design, floral design, interior or architectural design and/or theater set design is a plus
- Demonstrated creative vision
- Experience in creating and reconciling event budgets
- Experience in supervising junior staff or outside team members
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- AutoCAD, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite and other presentation program skills is a plus
