The Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing all clerical and support duties necessary for the efficient operation of the Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) division. This position reports directly to the coordinator of the assigned program.The following listing of essential job duties indicates the general nature and level of work required in this job. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Maintain access to the Common Course Library via the Datatel system for the college.Update the BLET website with course information, online registration, and payment details.Build sections in Datatel for Basic Law Enforcement Training programs as needed.Collect end-of-course paperwork for BLET and prepare it for audit review.Review and address the Missing Grade and Duplicate Records reports as needed.Prepare academy packets and ensure instructors complete required documentation on time.Assist students with registration and application processes.Prepare and maintain updated BLET course outlines.Maintain files and administer DocuSign accounts.Attend training sessions relevant to Continuing Education Administration.Participate in departmental and college-wide meetings and professional development.Manage instructor files and ensure compliance with administrative requirements.Coordinate annual program and advisory meetings.Build, compose, audit, and maintain individual BLET Cadet Applicant Files.Verify cadet eligibility prior to entry into BLET.Act as the BLET Program Representative when the Director is unavailable on-site.Perform cadet applicant/student file audits.Complete and submit Commission-required BLET documentation.Schedule and maintain servicing for the BLET vehicle fleet.Maintain instructional testing grades/results.Perform other duties as assigned by the Director/Coordinator/Dean.

Light work that includes moving objects up to 25 pounds.Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
