Essential Duties

• Provides didactic and / or skills laboratory instruction as assigned by the Medical Assisting Department Head.
• Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance, grades assignments promptly, and provides timely feedback.
• Prepares thoroughly for each instructional session while maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment.
• Counsels students on their grades and academic progress, holds regular office hours for consultation, and provides academic advising.
• Maintains current certifications, licensure, or credentials required to practice in the profession.
• Uses diverse instructional and evaluation methods that align with learning styles and teaching / learning theory.
• Participates in ongoing curriculum evaluation and recommends changes based on program needs.
• Engages in continuous professional growth and development activities.
