Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team in providing high-quality care to our residents. This role requires a commitment to upholding resident rights and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Duties
- Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring efficient shift management and staffing levels.
- Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
- Review documentation for accuracy and compliance with medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing practices and resident care.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care quality, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Ensure that all staff are trained in resident rights and maintain a respectful environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care plans for residents.
- Stay updated on best practices in nursing, home health, hospice care, and assisted living.
Qualifications
- Valid nursing license with significant experience in a supervisory role within a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation review processes.
- Experience in home health, hospice care, or assisted living is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Familiarity with resident rights regulations and commitment to upholding them.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
