We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and skilled Crew Lead to manage a team of Pool Service Technicians. In this role, you will lead your crew in maintaining and servicing residential swimming pools. You will ensure pools are clean, safe, and properly functioning through regular inspections, chemical treatments, equipment maintenance, and repairs, while fostering teamwork, providing guidance, and ensuring safety on-site.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Pool Service Technicians, ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks.
- Oversee the servicing of residential pools and spas, including opening and closing pools, troubleshooting, repairs, equipment replacements, and more.
- Ensure the team performs routine pool cleaning services, such as skimming debris, vacuuming, brushing pool walls, and maintaining pool surfaces.
- Guide the team in testing and balancing pool water chemistry, ensuring safe and optimal water quality (pH, chlorine levels, etc.).
- Supervise the inspection and maintenance of pool equipment (filters, pumps, heaters, cleaning systems), ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues, providing guidance on repairs and equipment replacement when needed.
- Oversee the installation and replacement of pool equipment, including pumps, filters, and heaters.
- Educate team members and customers on proper pool maintenance, water safety, and equipment care.
- Maintain accurate service records and address any customer concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to execute landscape maintenance and pool projects, ensuring timely completion.
- Foster a safe, high-quality, and productive work environment across all job sites.
- Ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment properly.
- Provide training and mentoring to your crew on best practices and safety procedures.
- Operate and maintain various light and heavy tools and equipment safely and effectively.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering exceptional service and assisting with growing the business.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with team members and clients to exceed expectations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a pool service technician role, with leadership experience preferred (training available for the right candidate).
- Strong knowledge of pool chemistry, equipment, and maintenance procedures.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment, as well as guide a team in these tasks.
- 3 years of experience in landscaping, plumbing, or construction, with supervisory or team leadership experience.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; a degree in horticulture or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL license or the ability to obtain one is a plus.
- Ability to lead a team while performing physical tasks such as lifting, bending, kneeling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Proficiency in operating required tools and equipment safely.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on team coordination and customer service.
