Interested in start-up, entrepreneurship, and innovative tech? Join an innovative, dynamic summer internship program launched collaboratively by the Office of Technology Transfer and the Center for Entrepreneurship. This program brings together an interdisciplinary team of one MBA student and two undergraduate students (for finance and marketing roles) to evaluate promising university-developed technologies. Over the summer, interns will perform detailed due diligence and subsequently create comprehensive plans—financial, marketing, and commercialization—to turn selected technologies into viable startups.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed expense research and build financial models for early-stage ventures.
- Assist in selecting business models and creating revenue projections.
- Research venture capital dynamics relevant to early-stage startups and prepare insightful summaries.
- Develop and manage organized data rooms for investor due diligence purposes.
- Create and refine dynamic financial models driven by defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Assist in the preparation and structuring of capitalization tables and equity incentive plans.
- Perform compensation plan benchmarking and comparative analysis.
- Evaluate technology stacks, including cost-benefit analyses to support financial planning.
- Research and identify potential grant opportunities, evaluating suitability and alignment with venture needs.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration, or a closely related field.
- Basic understanding of finance and economics concepts; coursework in financial modeling, accounting, or entrepreneurship is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for financial modeling or other analytical work.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to interpret financial data and perform critical analysis.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for exploring unconventional solutions.
- Past internship experience in banking or finance preferred but not required

We value creative thinking and an entrepreneurial spirit more than direct finance experience!

Application Instructions: Interested students should submit a resume and a brief, one paragraph description of themselves. Selected applicants will receive an additional questionnaire, followed by an in-person interview. We plan on hiring by April 21st.
The program will run from May 12th-August 12th, with a one-week break from June 30-July 7. Compensation is $5,000/month. Undergraduates will each receive a $2500 bonus if they help the team win the pitch competition at the end of the summer.
