What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Supervisor - CFTSS - OLP position at Vanderheyden Hall Inc.?
The Clinical Supervisor shall maintain a small caseload providing clinical services that are intended to prevent the progression of behavioral health needs through early identification and intervention. Services may be provided to children/youth in need of an assessment for whom behavioral health conditions have not yet been diagnosed, including but limited to children 0-5 years old. Clinical Supervisor will provide treatment for children/youth with an existing diagnosis for whom flexible community-based treatment is needed to correct or ameliorate conditions identified during an assessment process. In addition, an assessment of needs may result in the recommendation of further medically necessary services, such as rehabilitative services. Services are delivered in a trauma informed, culturally and linguistically competent manner.
- Completing Other Licensed Professional (OLP) assessments and CFTSS intakes.
- Providing clinical supervision to CFTSS Providers on caseload including CPST, PSR, FPSS, and YPST services.
- Reviewing and signing of on service plans and progress notes.
- Working with family and providers to develop treatment goals that are medically necessary for individuals.
- Entering and signing off on treatment plans in EHR (Electronic Health Record).
- Coordinating periodic reviews of treatment plans and service provision to individuals. Assuring continued medical necessity and acquisition of documentation to support continued medical necessity.
- Monitors program implementation of CFTSS.
- Collaborates with multi-disciplinary agency staff to ensure appropriate services are rendered.
- Works in partnership with external service providers to ensure service provision.
- Provides opportunities for professional growth to staff.
- Markets program and promotes growth of services and networking.
- Reports, updates/concerns to CFTSS Coordinator.
The Clinical Supervisor is an Other Licensed Professional which refers to non-physical licensed behavioral health practitioners (NP-LBPHP's) and includes Licensed Psychoanalysts, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), Licensed Creative Arts Therapists (LCAT), Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC), Licensed Psychologists Operating within scope of Practice, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Requirements:
- Must hold a valid License - one of which is listed above.
- Must have 2 - 3 year's experience.
- Must be aware of and sensitive to trauma informed care and the cultural needs of the population of focus and how to best meet those needs and be capable of training staff regarding these issues.
- Shows leadership ability.
- Shows ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Understands laws and regulations related to OCFS, OMH, OASAS, DOH and Justice Center.

- Must be available to work a 40-hour work week.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds
- Must have a valid NYS driver's license and clean MVR.

- Ability to be seated and use computer equipment for several hours a day.
- Must be able to perform physical interventions and maintains TCI certification.
