This is a hybrid role requiring qualified applicants to commute weekly to offices in Portland, Oregon.
Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
- Oversee and mentor accounting team members.
- Manage grant funding and contract review processes.
- Maintain up-to-date grant information in systems.
- Review accounting transaction for accuracy.
- Develop and implement streamlined processes.
- Ad-hoc project management, reporting, and accounting support.
Accounting Manager Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience and previous leadership/supervisory responsibility.
- Strong knowledge grant billing functions, debits/credits, GL reconciliations, and allocations.
- Exposure to grant or fund accounting required; non-profit experience a plus.
- Proficient with QuickBooks and ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred).
- Natural leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
