Solutions Specialist - SQL/ERP

Must be local to Boston area to work a hybrid 3/2 schedule

As a Solutions Specialist/Architect, you will play a crucial role in supporting the SQL environment, BST Global ERP System and developing integrations between ERP and related systems including CRM and Business Intelligence using PowerBI. Expand your skillset and make an impact delivering solutions that drive the business forward.

Some of your responsibilities include the following:

SQL Database Admin & Management

Install and configure SQL Server Software.

Monitor & maintain the performance, security, and scalability of the SQL environment.

Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity.

Ensure SQL Servers are running the latest software versions and security updates.

Maintain Production and Development Environments.

Troubleshoot issues associated with the SQL DB environment.

Develop and optimize SQL Queries, Views, Stored Procedures, ETLs and SQL schemas.

Convert legacy MS Access applications to SQL based applications.

ERP Application Architecture and Administration

Ensure BST ERP Application stability and consistency.

Administer SQL Maintenance plans, ETL Jobs associated with the ERP Application.

Work closely with Finance Team, IT and BST Professional Services on the BST 11 implementation initiative.

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and define system requirements, ensuring the architecture meets business needs.

Oversee integration of ERP with other systems APIs and SQL integrations.

Power BI/ Business Intelligence Reporting

Use PowerBI reporting tools to generate business insights in the form of Dashboards and Interactive visual reports.

Work with business stakeholders to determine the business intelligence reporting requirements

Build data models in Power BI

Create Interactive reports with filtering, slicing and drill-down capabilities

Security & Compliance

Establish and enforce security protocols for ERP systems and databases to safeguard sensitive data.

Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and company policies.

Implement user access controls and manage authorization protocols within ERP systems.

Change Control and Documentation

Plan changes in the environment to maximize uptime and minimize user impact

Always follow best practice in setting up and making changes to the environment

Maintain comprehensive documentation for the SQL and ERP environment

Additional

MS Fabric experience is a plus

SharePoint Admin experience is a plus

Essential Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience
• 7 Years as a MS SQL DBA including SQL Reports - MS Certification a plus
• 7 Years supporting and integrating ERP systems -knowledge of BST is a plus but not essential. We will train on this and BST provides excellent support
• 5 Year developing Power BI Reports
• Experience with implementation and leveraging APIs to integrate enterprise applications
