Vanguard DevOps LLC, is looking for an Oracle Application Express (APEX) Developer to develop and maintain APEX-based software applications. The work includes eliciting and capturing business requirements and designing and implementing efficient and effective solutions using the APEX tool suite. Troubleshooting, maintaining, and modernizing existing applications. Communicating effectively with SEFSC client's project leadership and other staff. The ideal candidate shall have a proven track record in application development using (recent) versions of Oracle APEX. Must be proficient in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL. Must have proven demonstrated experience with Oracle databases, DML and DDL. This individual will be required to work closely with the client and/or any third-party staff, including subject matter and technical experts, project managers, etc. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or green card holder having lived in the U.S. continuously for more than 5 years. (no H1B or H4 visa)
• 4 years work experience developing Oracle Applicatoin Express (APEX) Applications

Required Qualifications:

• Strong background in Oracle APEX development Version 19
• Demonstrable proficiency with:
• Oracle 19 databases
• PL/SQL packages, functions and stored procedures
• JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, XML, HTML5, CSS,
• REST based Web Services
• Understanding of Oracle application configuration, SQL, PL/SQL package/procedure-based programming, database object modeling, performance tuning for custom extensions, data conversions, data reporting and interface development
• Support the development and application of best-practices, program standards and conventions.
• Ability to analyze and refactor existing code to enhance performance, functionality and maintainability.
• Familiarity with all aspects of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and the ability to support all phases of the SDLC including O&M support and disposition.
• Enthusiasm, positive attitude, superb work ethic, attention to detail and ability to work without supervision.
• This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and time-management skills.
• Successful candidate must clear a background screen.

Education/Experience:

• 3 - 4 years of hands-on experience developing Apex applications.
• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related scientific or technical degree; or equivalent experience

Technical Skills/Experience:

• Experience with Oracle Application Express (Oracle APEX)
• Prior production support and software O&M experience
• Version control systems (SVN, Git)
• Experience with Jira

Additional desired/preferred skills and requirements:

• Agile Project Management Experience is a plus
• Scrum certification is a plus
• Oracle and/or APEX certifications
• Using frontend web development tools with APEX
• Agile development / DevSecOps
