Upholsterers needed both experienced and trainees.
Vanguard Furniture is looking for Upholsterers / Trimmers who are passionate and dedicated to the art of quality furniture making. Qualified experienced Upholsterers can have significantly greater earning potential based on efficiency. On-the-job training is also offered for less experienced individuals who are excited to learn and grow a new career.
Job Duties
Works with a team of co-workers to upholster furniture (such as sofas, love seats, sleepers and ottomans) in a fast paced work environment while attaining required quality standards and while complying with all safety rules and practices.
Able to use common upholstery tools such as air powered staple guns, mauls, hammers, scissors, regulators, tack pullers, etc.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend for 8 hours or more daily. Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers and eyes to upholstered furniture
Could require lifting up to 75 lbs, carrying 40 lbs or pushing and sliding up to 200 lbs. Requires ability to work while wearing required personal protective equipment such as safety glasses.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and supervision
Assists with any other task as directed by supervision
Work Hours – Mon-Fri 6:30am – 3:00pm

Need basic knowledge of furniture
Staple gun experience desired
Has demonstrated a willingness to learn and a high level of cooperation
Need to have been an employee for a minimum of 1 year
Excellent attendance record
Good work history-verified by current and prior managers
