**Job Summary: **
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized RCM Biller to join our team. The RCM Biller will be responsible for managing the billing processes related to medical services rendered, ensuring accurate and timely submissions to insurance providers and patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical billing regulations, and experience working in a healthcare environment.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Review and analyze medical records, billing documents, and coding to ensure accurate billing and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and submit clean claim forms to insurance companies and follow up on any outstanding claims.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to billing, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and documented.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including tracking overdue accounts and reconciling discrepancies.
- Communicate effectively with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve billing inquiries and disputes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth revenue cycle process from patient registration to final payment.
- Stay current with billing guidelines, insurance policies, and coding practices to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Prepare and maintain accurate billing records and reports, providing insights into billing productivity and identifying trends.
- Assist in training and mentoring new staff members in billing practices and procedures as needed.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2-5 years of previous experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems; certification in medical coding (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with healthcare insurance policies, billing processes, and regulations.
- Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
