Duties
- Set up workstations and necessary peripheral devices (keyboards, mice, monitors, printers etc.)
- Loads appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components, and office applications.
- Connects users to networks and provides initial training in facilities and applications.
- Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
- Provide guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment Rotates daily back-up media.
- Stay abreast of advances in technology.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
- Work outside of normal business hours may be required from time to time.
Skills
- Basic technology skills including desktop computers, servers, phone systems, printers, and networks.
- Diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Ability to take direction and complete tasks independently.
Education and/or Experience
- High school or GED equivalent
