Service Manager/Writer:Overview:
Our company is looking for a motivated and reliable Service Manager/Writer for our Medina location. Van's Auto Service & Tire Pros has been family owned and operated for over 30 years providing 5-star customer service. Have you worked in retail/ sales/ or automotive industries? Responsibilities:
- Assisting customers through the tire buying process and presenting needed repairs.
- Ensure sales goals are being achieved through extensive tire knowledge, various service types and products in the automotive industry
- Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor
- Proactive with demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking within a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with the sales team and service department
- Perform other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
This job operates in an automotive shop environment. The job will have exposure to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt and dust.
- Must be able to lift, carry and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting
Professional Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Business mentality with the drive to hit expected goals
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a service writer role strongly preferred
- Computer skills and point of sale proficiency
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with great attendance.
*All candidates are required to have a high school diploma or GED and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean MVR history.
