ROLE HIGHLIGHTS

The Business Development Representative will be responsible for driving sales growth and developing business relationships within their assigned territories. This role involves engaging with small to midsize businesses and prospects through outbound reach, virtual meetings, and product presentations, dedicating 80% of time to these activities. Additional duties include tracking sales, nurturing opportunities, executing campaigns, and preparing quotes and proposals. Collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager and Account Executives ensures alignment with company strategies. The ideal candidate is proactive, results-driven, and focused on building strong customer relationships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the promotional products and apparel industry, with a proven track record of success in inside sales.
  • Use a data-driven, forward-thinking approach to drive sales within small to midsize customer markets.
  • Conduct engaging sales calls with business owners, customer service agents, sales professionals, and support staff, effectively presenting products, explaining decoration details, and promoting Vantage Apparel's proprietary brands and services.
  • Quickly identify opportunities, offer tailored solutions, and resolve conflicts within promotional product distributor companies.
  • Proactively nurture and grow relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new prospects.
  • Regularly follow up with customers on quotes, opportunities, large orders, and service challenges to maintain consistent touchpoints.
  • Consistently meet and exceed KPIs to achieve sales goals.
  • Work independently to achieve objectives while collaborating effectively with virtual teams to support company and customer goals.
  • Demonstrate creativity, positivity, and a strong ability to solve problems and resolve conflicts.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey creative solutions confidently and clearly.
  • Professional in communication, attitude, and teamwork with customers, peers, and management.
  • Creative mindset with knowledge of the promotional products industry, including its business model, pricing structures, and key players (preferred).
  • Familiarity with the apparel and / or decorated apparel sectors and Vantage Apparel's product lines and services (beneficial).
  • Understanding of the assigned geographical territory.
  • Reliable access to independent transportation.
  • EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE COMPUTER SKILLS

    Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Business Development or a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in sales.

    COMPUTER SKILLS

    Demonstrated high proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

    CERTIFICATES AND / OR LICENSES

    May be required to have a valid driver's license and meet Vantage Driver Approval requirements.
