Vantage Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Systems Designer, you will play a crucial role in the design, specification, and selection of process piping and pressure vessel systems.
In this position, you will oversee engineering contractor organizations' projects, reviewing designs, calculations, specifications, schedules, and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in factory acceptance testing, ensuring that equipment meets the highest standards.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a hybrid schedule from our Bedminster NJ office, offering a W2 contract position with full medical, dental, vision, and biweekly payroll. You will need the right to work in the USA without restriction and no C2C arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, specification, and selection of process piping and pressure vessel systems
- Oversight of engineering contractor organizations' projects
- Factory acceptance testing and equipment inspection
- Participation in HAZOPs and risk assessments as a technical contributor
- Plan and implement QA/QC plans relating to piping and vessels
You will have the opportunity to interface with the proposals group to generate preliminary design and cost information for projects. Additionally, you will serve as a technical resource for other departments within Vantage Consulting as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science/Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience with process piping and/or pressure vessel engineering, including design, fabrication, testing, and commissioning
