Description
JOB FUNCTIONS
- Ensure all employee paperwork is received, scanned, and filed into personnel files accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain department records and spreadsheets as assigned.
- Complete workers compensation claims by discussing incidents with managers/employees accurately and in a timely manner reporting claims to workers’ compensation carrier.
- Order flowers, raffles, and payments for other special employee events sponsored by HR.
- Assist with recruitment by setting up interviews, complete pre-hire paperwork and background/drug screenings. Prepares new hire packets, nametags, and welcome bag for orientation.
- Order, stock, and maintain supplies for department.
- Maintain copier/fax/printer in department by sending and distributing faxes, replenishing supplies, and troubleshooting issues with IT/vendor.
- Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail for department.
- Escort visitors and applicants to/from department.
- Assist with 401K/pension paperwork as needed.
- Perform duties of Front Desk Attendant as needed.
- Perform other delegated duties as assigned by the HR Manager or Chief Risk Officer.

- Effective communication and listening skills; can comfortably deal with people at all levels; possess good written communication skills. Understand credit union philosophy.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work without direction. Proficient Microsoft Office and clerical skills. Work with standard office equipment/computer software.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma with two years’ experience in an administrative position, with one year being in human resources.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The position requires the following physical activities within varying environmental conditions:
- Occasionally remaining in a stationary position which may be standing or sitting for a prolonged period of time.
- Occasional travel or moving from one office location to another or from one department to another at the headquarters building.
- Occasional lifting, moving, or adjusting objects up to 20 pounds.
- Constant communication with others through various channels including verbal, email, and chat of which the last two may require consistent use of a keyboard and mouse or another electronic device.
- Work will be in a commercially reasonable temperature-controlled environment.
- Occasional temporary exterior site review which could be in outdoor elements of wind, rain, or snow.
