QUALIFICATIONS: Must be sixteen (16) years of age; Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate, verbally to resident needs; Must possess sight/hearing senses with or without prosthetics use, that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met; Must possess the ability to lift, push, or pull in excess of fifty (50) pounds, with or without the use of adaptive devices. JOB SUMMARY: Collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds and distributes facility laundry and resident clothing as assigned and in accordance with established safety and operating procedures. ENVIRONMENTAL/WORKING CONDITIONS: Frequent exposure to blood, body tissues, infectious waste, diseases, conditions and hazardous materials. May be subject to unpleasantodors and noises throughout the work day. May be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, and visitors. Subject to stress of working around sick residents and their families including residents who may be confused, irrational, highly agitated, combative or given to abrupt mood swings. May be required to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, on holidays, as required and in other positions temporarily, during an emergency or when necessary or required.
