Description of responsibilities:

This position requires travel within the tri-state area daily. Overnight accommodation within an assigned community may be provided.

• Supervise Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician, Housekeeping Supervisor, Housekeepers, and Laundry Technicians in the absence of a Facilities Director
• Perform routine maintenance duties including fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects
• Complete all service requests for repair and maintenance
• Assist in the execution of the preventative maintenance program and work order system
• Assist with working on heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water systems and pumps, refrigeration systems, motors, fans, electrical systems and emergency generators
• Perform carpet and hard surface floor maintenance
• Advise VP of Facilities and Construction and Executive Director of the overall condition of the equipment and furnishings of the community
• Conduct inspections on apartments prior to occupancy
• Manage after-hours calls for maintenance emergencies
• Support construction, remodeling and maintenance to all Vantage Point Retirement Living Communities
• Provide follow-up communication and reporting on a routine basis
• Perform other duties as assigned
