WORK TYPE : Full time, onsite

LOCATION DETAILS : Elkridge, MD

WORK HOURS : Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT :

Event travel and attendance at staff meetings & trainings is required. Event travel will include overnight stays for events. Anticipate being available 2-3 weekend per month during event season should coverage be required.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Registration Specialist is an important member of our Varsity All Star Registration team, ultimately responsible for ensuring that their customers have a seamless event registration experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Answer phones and assists with customer questions; provide excellent customer service
  • Update and maintain Salesforce pricing and divisions for events within region
  • Receive, input, update as needed and monitor individual event registration
  • Create and help manage wait lists for events within the region
  • Help with overflow registration with End of Season events as needed
  • Update and Maintain events in the USASF website
  • Training on-site registration personnel
  • Have knowledge and full understanding of :

Release Waivers (or no release waivers)

  • Rules and Regulations
  • Terms and Conditions
  • Music Verification
  • Policies and Procedures
  • USASF Compliance and Waivers
  • Bid Declarations / Intentions
  • Rec Verification
  • Collect all money before or on-site and applicable forms for assigned events
  • Event Closeout
  • Zero out event (credits and balances)

  • USASF event closeout
  • Replenish Registration Materials
  • Process / Deliver Checks and or Cash for Deposits
  • Organize and store all registration forms from event
  • Work with Event Coordinator, Scoring Department, USASF and other departments to ensure the best event experience for the customer and to maintain compliance with requirements
  • Pack & organize all registration materials for truck traveling to event
  • Monitor and provide frequent updates on regional event participation
  • Monitor and participate in BAND app Q&A
  • Manage the goals and success metrics established
  • Work closely with Regional Director of Operational Excellence, Director of All Star Experience, and Customer Experience Manager
  • Work as program's point of contact on site at assigned events
  • Understand and use marketing cloud for registration communications
  • Assist in the management of all assets such as (buildings, equipment, insurance, etc)
  • Serves in a mid-level management and / or support role at events
  • Participate on various committees and / or boards essential to our business both indirectly and directly
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and positive energy are an absolute must. You can stay positive after a long day of emails, data entry and phone calls, understanding that a team culture is built on the attitude of every member.
  • Experience with Salesforce or the ability to become proficient rapidly.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
  • Knowledge of cheerleading and / or dance a plus.
  • EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in cheerleading, dance or band industry a plus.
  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary. The ability to sit or stand for long periods through meetings and while operating office equipment, PC's, laptop, telephone will be required.

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; drive, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

    During events, the ability to stand and walk for long periods of time (5 hours plus) is required. The ability to communicate with customers and colleagues using the following but not limited to radio, walkie talkie, text message and email is required. The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and manipulate equipment that is a minimum of 30 lbs. is required.
