Role

Varsity Mulching is hiring motivated individuals to join our team as Project Managers for our mulching and landscaping projects. This position is perfect for young, ambitious people—particularly local college students—who are eager to gain leadership and entrepreneurial experience while managing a small team. The role will run from Mid-March 2025 through June 2025, making it ideal for those looking for a flexible, short-term opportunity. No prior project management or landscaping experience is required, as we hire based on work ethic and strong character. We will train you in the skills needed to succeed.

We offer a unique opportunity to learn how to run a business while gaining hands-on experience in leadership. Flexible scheduling allows you to balance work with classes or other commitments, making this an ideal role for students who take classes online or in the evenings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the transportation of equipment to and from job sites using the company truck.
• Lead and supervise a small team on-site, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high standards.
• Be the main point of contact for clients on-site, addressing questions and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Ensure all tasks are completed on time while fostering teamwork and positive morale.
• Provide updates to management on project progress and client feedback.

Requirements

• Strong work ethic, responsibility, and leadership potential—no prior project management experience needed.
• Willingness to learn the mulching and landscaping service (it’s simple and easy to master).
• Ability to manage and motivate a small team on-site.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport equipment to job sites.
