VTI is an ILS (independent living skills) program that encourages our kids to get out and involved in school, sports, music, and any other positive extra-curricular you can think of. We assist in preparing our kids for sustainable employment and occasionally college. Applicants must be hard working and extremely patient and thick skinned since these kids are Severely Emotionally Disturbed due to years of abuse and/or neglect. This position has a flexible schedule with a maximum caseload of 6 residents. Ideally looking for someone with experience working with at-risk youth, but experience working with kids in general is helpful. Working on a contract with Behavioral Health Departments of various counties in CA, experience working off an electronic health record is a bonus.

Pay depends on experience and or education. $24-26/hour to Start.
Requirements: Masters in Counseling, Social Work, MFT, OR 4 years experience working in mental health. Can Be Getting Hours towards Licensure, will provide supervision!
Must have valid drivers license (no DUI convictions) and less than two points. Fingerprinting required, must be DOJ and FBI cleared.

Responsibilities
- Provide individualized counseling and support to at-risk youth, focusing on mental health rehabilitation.
- Implement art therapy techniques to enhance emotional expression and coping skills.
- Collaborate with families and other professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of clients, adjusting interventions as necessary.
- Stay informed about psychopharmacology and gender issues to address diverse needs effectively.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
