The Field Operations Manager will play a key role in fostering teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership, Management, and Accountability (LMA):
- Lead, coach, and develop field staff to meet and exceed performance goals, leveraging our Core Values.
- Establish clear expectations for the team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Act as the main point of contact for installation teams, offering problem-solving support and ensuring all team members are held accountable for their roles.
- Cultivate a positive and productive work environment by motivating teams and promoting a culture of safety, efficiency, and quality.
- Installation/Crew Scheduling:
- Plan and coordinate the daily and weekly schedules for installation crews, optimizing manpower and resources to meet project deadlines.
- Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other departments to ensure schedules are aligned with project goals and customer needs.
- Anticipate scheduling conflicts and make necessary adjustments to maintain workflow continuity, minimizing downtime and project delays.
- Track crew productivity and make real-time adjustments to enhance efficiency and ensure project P&Ls are tracked and met.
- Field Supervision:
- Actively audit field installations to ensure work is performed according to company standards, client specifications, and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and provide real-time feedback to installation teams.
- Identify and resolve any on-site challenges or inefficiencies, making sure projects stay on track in terms of both timeline and quality.
- Serve as the liaison between field crews, project managers, and clients to ensure clear communication and smooth project execution.
- Perform project Surveys when necessary.
- Attend permit inspections and ensure permits get closed.
- Attend project kick off meetings to resolve any logistical issues.
- Installation Quality Control (After Photos):
- Implement and oversee a comprehensive quality control process to ensure all installations meet the company’s high standards.
- Collect after photos of completed installations, for quality control, project documentation and future marketing use.
- Address any discrepancies or areas for improvement, and work with the teams to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain thorough documentation of each installation to ensure accurate records for future reference.
- Asset Management (Materials, Vehicles):
- Manage the company’s field assets, including vehicles, tools, and installation materials.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are available, properly maintained, and ready for deployment at job sites.
- Track inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of necessary supplies.
- Oversee vehicle fleet management, ensuring all company vehicles are properly maintained, safe, and in compliance with regulations.
- Regularly audit the condition of tools and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure maximum efficiency on job sites.
- Florida CC License and driver’s license are a must.
- Proven experience in a field operations or installation management role, preferably in a similar industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Hands-on experience with installation processes and quality control measures.
- Familiarity with asset management, including vehicle fleets and tools.
- Proficient in scheduling software and project management tools.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both field teams and office staff.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in field operations.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
