Overview
We are seeking a skilled Switchboard Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming calls and directing them to the appropriate department or individual.
Responsibilities:
- Answering the main hospital phone
- Transferring calls
- Monitoring the fire panel systems and using the radio to contact Security if a trouble alarm alerts
- Calling and relaying information to 911 if a code is called
- Using the PA system for hospital codes if requested
- Assisting with fleet key check out
- Assisting with staff meal ticket purchases
- Other clerical tasks as assigned
Skills
- Prior experience as a hospital switchboard operator or clinic unit clerk
- Knowledge and experience in a role utilizing HIPAA compliance
- Ability to react calmly and quickly in the case of a medical or security emergency.
- CPR Certification(Desired)
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $14.45 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
